iWork is a suite of office applications, comparable to Microsoft Office, Claris Works and AppleWorks 6. You get a flexible word processor which can handle a number of different requirements, also depending on the version of iWork available, you have a spreadsheet and presentation kit. iWork started life in V5 after AppleWorks 6 finally came to it's end of life cycle for newer and more enhanced tools and user experience requirements. What you get: Pages, Keynote & Numbers (depending on version.) iWork is easy to install and reasonably light weight and complements ilife, so the two products work hand in hand. All versions will support PPC / Universal binaries, even iWork 09 runs on a PPC G5 without any issues.
